Interview with Choplin
本番に向けて、控室でお化粧中のチョップリンさんにインタビュー！

Q：How do you like performing in a temple?
「Although the 5th time comes to Japan by this time, dancing in a temple is very glad to come out for the first time. From the first, Bali dancing is danced in sacred places, such as a temple, and in Bali it is usually danced in a temple.」

Q：What does Bali Dance mean to you?
「A pleasant thing. I love to express the character in a play. I love dancing. 」

Q：Where did you go for sightseeing in Kyoto today?
「Before coming to Chion-ji, I went to Nanzen-ji and had Yu-dofu. Balinese tofu is much harder. The tofu I had today was very soft and delicious. Autumnal leaves were also beautiful.」

Q：お寺で上演について
「今回で日本に来るのは5回目ですが、お寺で踊るのは初めてでとても嬉しいです。もともとバリ舞踊は寺院など神聖な場所で踊るもので、バリでは普通お寺で踊るのですよ」

Q：チョップリンさんにとってバリ舞踊とは？
「楽しいこと、かな。劇の中でそのキャラクターを表現すること自体にすごく喜びを感じます。踊っていると私生活の嫌なことも全部忘れます！」

Q：京都について
「知恩寺へ来る前に南禅寺へ行って湯豆腐を食べてきました。バリの豆腐はもっと硬いです、今日食べた豆腐はとても柔らかくて美味しかったです。紅葉もきれいでした」

Interview with Wada Kei（Potalaka）
本番直前、忙しい中のつめこみインタビュー！

Q：How do you like performing in a temple?
「Temples have some special solemn atmosphere, which is great. Chion-ji is nice place,too. 」

Q：What does Bali music/Dance mean to you?
「Job.(laugh) Of course I'm happy with it.」

Q：Why do you write Japanese scripts for Balinese dance?
「It's natural Balinese play Bali dance in their language,but if you don't know it you won't be able to understand what the play really means. I am a Japanese to the last,and want to prize an expression peculiar to Japanese.」

Q：お寺で上演について
「厳粛な空気がいいですね。ここも本当に素敵なお寺」

Q：和田さんにとってバリ音楽（舞踊劇）とは？
「職です（笑）。もちろん好きでやっているんですよ」

Q：日本語の脚本について
「バリではバリ語で舞踊劇をする、当然ですよね。かといってバリ語の分からない人がそれを見ても、ただ『何かきれいなものを聞き、見ている』という感覚しか持てないと思うのです。　僕はあくまでも日本人ですから、日本語独特の言い回しを大事にしたい。　日本でこんなことやってるのはきっと僕たちだけすよ（笑）」
