| E-mail from Sam just before coming to Japan. "Okay, regarding this 'make your dream come true' thing; sure I'd love to do it. Now comes the bit where I tell you my dream. I would love to live a night in Kyoto the way the Japanese used to. These means that for one night I'd leave all my possessions and clothes, put on a kimono (or whatever men used to wear) and go to a traditional Japanese building, hotel (or palace ?) for the night. You know the kind of place, beautifully quiet and enclosed, with paper walls, rock gardens etc. From there I don't know what the proper order for things would be, but I'd like a traditional Japanese bath (perhaps even a massage?), an authentic Japanese meal with a few people like you (dressed traditionally too!), and then sit in the gardens talking or listening to shamisen. I want to sleep in the place...on tatami mats or whatever isproper and wake up for an authentic Japanese breakfast. Wow, what a treat!" |
Thanks for sending us your guess. We are still looking forward to getting "Your dream to do in Kyoto" e-mail. |
